In hostel are your room mates comfortable to stay with?

Roomies as one calls his/her room-mate's in the college hostel. They end up as your second family by the time you graduate. I wasa forunate to find comfortable roomies in my first go and did not have to struggle for a good roo mate(s). But all are not that fortunate, some struggle very hard and face problems in gelling in and accepting the behaviour of his room-mates. Frequently ending up in arguments. What is your case? Or what was your case while in hostel? Any interesting experience you have had.
