Feeling closer to family

Has anyone here felt closer to their family members after the birth of a child? I don't know if I truly have experienced that type of thing but I was thinking that families should grow closer especially after the birth of a grand child and the like.

When I had my baby, I got so close with my mother because she helped me a lot and since she had three kids she was fully experienced. It is true that when a child is born all family getrs closer even the parents themselves.
