Does anyone watch The Mentalist?

I didn't want to watch it. It really looked boring and not up my alley. But after the first show, I make a point of sitting down on Tuesday and fiddling with the stupid antenna just to watch it. I'm hooked. It's one of the few shows I do watch on tv. Most of the time, I just sit and let him watch his nature shows on PBS.

i do watch it & i like it. half the time i'm mylotting & forget it which i did tonight. duh!

I came in late to the show, so it was a new one for me. I don't have that problem. My hubby gets home at 5, so I'm off the computer then. This one was the one where a lady was run over while she was leaving her "psychic's" house. I couldn't believe how antagonistic Patrick was towards the psychic! But I didn't know he used to pull that game on people. He had a checkered past before joining the police? Like I said, I don't know anything about the background except what I see now. His family was killed by a serial killer. And that's as much as I know.

I do! I do! I love this show. The power of observation is a really cook skill to have and if you really pay attention to this show, you can learn a lot. Bummed me out that tonights episode was a rerun though!

I haven't seen Psych yet........will have to check it out.
Patrick James is just SO cute, and easy to watch. LOL

Isn't it though? I wish I had that skill. But I'm too feather brained. It's much easier watching this one than Psych. That guy is so irritating!

Every once and awhile I will turn the mentalist on. Out of the other shows that came out that are almost exactly the same, it is the best! So much better than 11th Hour thats for sure.

I think that one would be Psych? Am I right? I rented that one from Family Video. It was fun, for awhile, but the main character is just so irritating I couldn't take it anymore.

Nope. I was referring to the 11th Hour and I think there is one on Fox now too.
Psych has been on for 4-5 seasons.

I've been watching it and like it. It has some interesting plots and the writing is good. One turn off was when I heard the star speaking at an awards show in his native accent and it was a real disappointment. His voice, demeanor and personality were so different from the part. I guess this means he is a good actor but still it has made the show less enjoyable for me because I keep recalling that.

I kinda felt that way about Hugh Jackman. I couldn't believe he could sound so American with an accent like that! Christian Bale can do almost any accent. That's a trifle annoying...

I'm watching it right now! It's a repeat tonight but I don't mind. I like all the cast, the story lines are good, and Simon Baker in this character is just really fun to watch.

He sure is. I think he's what makes the show,not just the storyline. Which is good, don't get me wrong. It's been a lot of years since I got hooked on a show.

Yep, it's one of our households favorite new shows this year. Patrick Jane is so smug and cocky it's the best. He's kinda like the "House" character but for law enforcement.
I also like the rest of the cast. I just hope that they don't do anything silly like start a romance between Patrick and either of the 2 women in the group. That would just spoil everything.

I know. Why does there always have to be a romance? I suspect they will if the ratings start to drop. Jump the shark and all that.

I've been wanting to check it out since it really seems like my kinda show but I've not had the chance to yet...I think I can catch episodes online though so I'll have to look into that and watch a couple..

It's surprisingly good. I think because of Simon Baker's rather snarky attitude. He tends to be a wild card!
