Are you contented with finding your way around mylot on a trial and error basis?
I remember my earlier days here on mylot when I would ask for and follow most of the advice given.
I am aware though that we all have different temparament and there are those of us who are just adventurous by nature and will always try to figure things out on our own.
Well what about you? Even if you have been a member here for long... Were you inclined to follow the advice of older members or did/do you try to find your own way around?

Hm... talking about the kind of behavior at mylot, I am mixture of both the attributes you gave. Sometimes I try my own way and sometimes I follow the advice given by Mylotters. And its all about generating ideas and also about responding on the ideas generated by other Mylotters. And the coolest thing at Mylot that I like the most is, it helps me explore the ideas generated and also to think on others ideas. So, its great learning fun.....

I would ask for information first since I am new here and is still figuring out how i can earn... It is not bad to ask around cause in that kind of way, you will get used to the site even faster than figguring out things in your own but if you can do it on you own? then its up to you but for me, I would advice nebies to ask around first. Anyway its also an opportunity for the old timers here to earn more because it would be easy for them to guide the newbies and they also make friends with them... Thats all I can say. Hehehhe...

I remembered when I first joined two years ago, I kept silent and just posted responses. It took me a while to start posting my own discussions as I wasn't sure what to post. I learned as I went along and asked questions when I needed to. Some of the time I just surfed the discussions and took advice from some of them.
There are a lot oldies that have left this site though, good ones that offered great advice, funny, and entertaining too.
