the surreal pregnancy experience

hi all! i just wanted to share with you the surreal pregnancy experience that i have had. that was when we first learned that i got pregnant. i am still pregnant now, i am on my 32nd week, which is about 7 months already. we have been waiting for more than a year before i finally got pregnant, because i have PCOS and did not ovulate at all. i have had so many tests done already. so many medications and i underwent several therapies. still nothing happened. i didn't even ovulate. then i decided that enough is enough. I stopped all medications, even my fertility vitamins. then i just let things be. i thought if i got pregnant, then fine I will thank God, if not, then i guess it is not God's will at all to give us a child. then one day, after feeling strange for so many days already, i tried the hcg urine test again. this i had done several times already that i got tired of doing it. but that particular morning, i learned i was indeed pregnant! it was all too surreal for me. imagine waiting for it for a long time and then finding out that what you have been waiting for has been given to you. but it took some time before the truth sank in. it seems that all i recognized was the waiting. anyway, the first person i told about the good news, after breathing a prayer of thanks, was my husband. i had to send him a text message because he was traveling in another city at that time. it was around 5am when i texted him. even he could not believe the message. he did not reply immediately. he was so happy and excited, at the same time anxious, as the urine test might be wrong. so he told me to get an ultrasound, either that or a blood hcg test. i chose the ultrasound and it was confirmed that i was 5 weeks pregnant, thought the fetal pole was not yet present. we praised God continually for allowing us to experience being parents. so that is m pregnancy experience. how about you? how was it when you first learned that you are pregnant? take care and God bless you all! :-) happy mylotting!
