hi all!
i was hospitalized twice last december. and we spent around 20,000 pesos, roughly 400$. that is already a big amount for us filipinos.
today, i process my medical insurance, and got about 2,400 pesos in refund. i will get another 1,800 next week. as for social security, i will be getting 1,200 as refund as well. all in all i will be getting 5,400 pesos as refund, which is about 1/4 of my hospital expenses, excluding my take home medication and paraphernalia like IV, injections, etc.
but i am still thankful. at least, my expenses were reduced because of these refunds, thank God. my insurance is really not that much, hence the very small refund. but it is okay, it is better than nothing.
sigh...2 more months to go and i will be giving birth, i really need extra money for that matter. we spent our money on hospital bills and medications and other miscellaneous expenses related to my confinement, that is why i am busy mylotting, to earn some extra income online.
take care all and God bless you!
happy mylotting! :-)

I hope you will have a normal delivery. When I gave birth through ceasarian operation to my only daughter three years ago, our hospital bill went to P80,000 plus. I was able to get a deduction amounting to P20,000 from Philhealth. It was too bad that the hospital where I was confined did not honor the medical insurance of my husband, hence we were forced to pay around P60,000.
When my daughter got sick for UTI last year, we had her confined to another hospital and we never paid a single centavo for the said hospitalization. All were covered by the insurance.
