How do you get through long lonely days ahead of you? i took the chances to be alone during those times, but i have no ideas--it will be this lonely, i know they are a long lonely road ahead of me. it may take years to get there. the question is how should i deal with the empty, lonely and broken feelings at the present times. i pretend like i am fine. the facts is i am really lonely and burnt physically and mentally.

I usually sit and read a book or clean up around the house. Being lonely is not good sometimes but it do give you time to sit and think about some stuff.

every one in life goes through this phase. that is life. first dont think that you are the only person facing this problem. it normally helps. next stop thinking of the years to come. break it into small time frames like weeks and months. do something which you love like like painting or shopping. tell you self you don't need anyone to make you feel happy because you are your best friend. at the same time dont cut yourself from friends. let them be a part of life not THE life. and most important dont pity ourself. all the best for your life. bye

I'm sorry that you feel this way. I think we all get this way at times, some more than others. I try to keep busy doing things that I like to do. Having friends and family around sometimes to help pass the time. The key I think is keeping busy and being productive if you can. I hope you get to be in a better mood soon.

I got this quote from Paulo Coelho's book Eleven Minutes: “Humans can withstand a week without water, two weeks without food, many years of homelessness, but not loneliness. It is the worst of all tortures, the worst of all sufferings.” Anyways, I guess you will soon decide when to uproot yourself from loneliness. I sometimes feel being empty. But I often not linger on such feeling because it will only fixate me to depression.

I always have found that when I was feeling too lonely a trip to a coffee shop or a restaurant always seemed to help. Just to have people around, even though they don't know me or I them, just hearing conversations between people is helpful.
