hi friends.as the topic suggest, its about the weak points of the cricketers especially batsmen as we can easily find the faults with them.here goes:
ricky ponting:
scored more than 10000 runs in both forms of cricket but he can be easy target too.
he has this early front foot movement and a high bat lift for cover drives.if u bowl him in the half volley just outside off stump consistently and have two fielders in the short cover region,he cant keep down all the uppish cover drive shots and can give his wicket away just like he gave his wicket twice in the recent one day series against south africa.
suresh raina:
he may hit sixes when u bowl him short but if u bowl him a full length delivery around middle stump, the chance of him giving a catch to the long on fielder is very high.
cant think of any at the moment.wat u got?

There are many that i can think of.
1) Wasim jaffer cannot score on bouncy & fast pitches because his bat always comes down at an angle instead of coming straight. This techniques helps in indian pitches to ondrive an offish ball But he is a siiting duck at fast wickets.
2) Irfan Pathan suddenly forgot to swing the ball because his thumb was not at the side of the seam it was all over the ball & hence he lost the perfect grip.
3) Harbajan is still an average bowler because he is scared of flighting the ball as soon as batsmen hit him. He is much less effective when he starts pushing the ball.
4) Dravid's poor run (oflate)is because of pronounced forward movement & he just plants the foot there. If the ball bounces a lttle more he gets out tamely.
5) Most batsmen when age get trapped for incoming delivery, because their front foot does not move back slighly when ball comes in. This is the reason ponting struggles against ishanth, sachin & lakshman are getting out bowled or legbefore late in their career.

that was a good one.many former players commented on dravid planting his foot forward .pathan is a weird catagory.he didnt swing the ball much but he suddenly started swinging it against the aussies in a match very brilliantly.u r right again about sachin and jaffer too.
