In IT industry there are so many technologies are available for the web development. As now a days web development technologies widely used are PHP , ASP , ASP.net , JSP etc. I am little bit of confused, which is the best from the listed technologies. I need the help and guidance regarding this. Also why any particular technology is best for web development. As I have keen interest in web designing. So I am expecting an good optimistic option from the myLot family.

I think, you can not say like this - that technology is better and this is not! It's totally depend on the environment you are standing on. Sticking to your point, if you want to develop web applications in quick and easily then PHP is the better choice. It's also cost effective in my opinion. Other technologies have other points too. I personally like PHP. But I also can tell you a drawback of ASP.NET - it's based on Windows server and also many programmers (like me) don't want to work on windows server. I hope, you got my point. ----------------- www.telapoka.com

That's nice to know. You can do anything with PHP that can be done with any other languages, though you'll hear bad things from people who don't like PHP. If you are thinking to use PHP, think about some good frameworks like CogeIgnitor, CakePHP etc. for MVC framework. Just wanted to give you a suggestion. :) Though personally I used my own tiny MVC framework. ----------------- www.telapoka.com

Well it depends on the website and application that you are building. Certain languages are better suited for certain applications. Personally, I use php for everything. Be sure to analyze the purpose of the site that you're creating and center your site around that language. Out of all of the available languages, I think php has the most uses for web design
