Will you say what I said if this happened to you?

Please forgive me if this may seem like a rant but I was very disappointed and dismayed by the message sent to me by my friend earlier today. I called there house earlier to say hi to his brother who happens to be also a friend of mine and shared that currently I am doing Pay To Click on the side to earn some extra cash. Then after a while I got a text message from my friend lecturing me about what should I do to be successful, and that I should go and practice what I have finished in college and do some reviews to refresh my knowledge. Because according to him this is what he doing and he plans to read about 30 books. Then he told me that I won't be successful with what I'm doing right now. He really got to my nerve . Imagine a thirty five year old guy who has been jobless all his life and who is doing nothing to earn his own money. He just sits around the house being a bum and he even borrows money from his brother who is crippled from the neck down lecturing about what should I do to earn money and be successful. I am in a wheelchair myself but hey I don't just bum around and count eggs that are not there. I try to earn my own keep. I just could not help myself and I sent him a message saying that what I'm doing is just a source of extra income and that I have other sources of income and I said that even if this is just a small time venture at least I'm earning some money. Did I do the right thing?

Yea..Its good that he is taking his time and thought process to advise inspite of his limitations and its great to know you responded well. You know sometimes its easier to advise or sugest other guys what can be done than actually doing it.You can just listen to their advise and finally it is upto you to decide whether to do it or not. So,I agree with you totally. All the best for your extra earnings.

well, you obviously said that out of impulse. i mean, if you've thought what you said through, you will never say it. i've said that before to my bf. i felt guilty after saying that but for me, i think its about time to say it. i have to admit that he had been bum for a few years back, and it irritated me when he told me i was gaining weight. i told him at least im doing something rather than sit around and wait for someone to give me some spare changes. at least i have work. well, we had an argument after that. but in the end, it kind of woke him up and did something about it. now at least, he has a job! he's not a bum anymore... hehehe!

maybe it was impulse or maybe not. I am not saying I'm better than him but thinking about it makes me at ease.

No matter what you try to do in life to make a little extra money, there will ALWAYS be someone there trying to tell you reasons why it won't work. I have some people around me like this as well. The best thing you can do is to not listen to them. Just keep doing what you are doing as long as you are making at least a little extra money with it. Only you can decide whether it is worth it or not. I also had a friend that was the opposite as well. He was SO eager to make money, that he would try ANYTHING. The only problem with him was that he has all these really big ideas, yet he had absolutely no money to invest in them. He was always trying to feed off my ideas, and what little money I had to work with at the time. I really don't know which type of person is worse. Both are really annoying. Just keep doing what you are doing as long as you are satisfied with the results, and ESPECIALLY don't take financial advice from ANYONE who doesn't earn more money than you...
