I am not fat, but when I stop exercising the first thing that goes up is my waistline. I love my food and my drink too. That is why it becomes essential to do exercises everyday. I do as many as 100 sit ups everyday in addition to a lot of bending exercises and a bit of yoga and jogging just to maintain my weight and keep my tummy in. Can anyone suggest some exercises which are more effective than sit ups in building up the abdominal muscles and reducing fat.

Pilates are good for keeping the tummy tucked in. I also hang from a bar and do leg lifts, not sure what this exercise is really called but they are awesome for getting at the problematic lower ab area. It's like a chin-up but you raise only your legs, not the entire body. It only takes a few of these each day to target those lower abs
