How often do you find yourself calling your neighborhood babysitter? Do you need one once a week or a couple of times a week according to your schedule?

Hi bamakelly and thank you for your discussion. I dont' call my neighborhood sitter at all a my son is now 17. When he was young enough to need a sitter, it was rare that I ever used one. Either I took him with me, or I stayed home.

I don't have a neighborhood babysitter. I rarely have anyone watch my kids and when I do they are usually family members. Most of the time the kids go with me when I go somewhere.

We have never called anyone but family to sit for our kids. And family is very scarce for us so the last time we went out alone was about six months ago. Before that it had been at least two years. I just haven't met anyone that I trust with my kids enough to call them up and have them watch them. I have OCD and my main focus with it is my kids so even on the occasion I leave them I call a hundred times to make sure their ok and that is with my hubby and grandma!

We usually will get a babysitter about twice a month. Just for a nice night to ourselves. We don't have a neighborhood babysitter though, we just use her grandma. That way my boyfriend and I get some quality time by ourselves and our daughter and her grandma have a nice night together as well.
