it is pouring down snow here this morning....

Are they interested in crafts of any kind or have a hobby? Do they like to bake? I use to put a movie or two away for a snowy day when the kids were younger so they would have something to do when school was closed. It didn't always work for me since the kids liked being outside in the snow. They thought a small hill was huge and were content with sleding in our backyard. We were blasted last night with sleet and snow. Our area got about 6 inches. The main streets weren't plowed yet this morning since my husband sent me an email when he got to work. Said it was slick and slow.

Hi TnWoman, You must be having a lovely time with the kids at home while it is snowing outside, it must be lovely to just sit and watch the snow falling, as for here we haven't any snow here for sometimes and I have no children so I'm here mylotting while my husband is at work. I wish I was in your place because where I live it's never snowed probably since the last ice age 10000 years ago! I love to watch snow fall, I wish it would snow here and I get holidays from college.

I think you are locky to see such a beautiful phenomenon,I am looking forward to seeing snow this year but it turns out that I will be disappointed because the coldest time will passed this year,no snow at all this year.

we have snow today too, but then we get snow all the time and already have like 5 inches out there so there is school today for me thank goodness. When my son stays home (he is 5) he has his playstation, or cartoon network, and we play online games together like nickjr.com.... or we watch movies and eat lunch in the living room... LOL that is a treat to him.

Hi you are so lucky to see snow pouring down, in my place only heavy rains pour down and then children get rainy day, whole day they play and shout and not a single work can be done peacefully.

My kids were out of school yesterday due to ice. They are teenagers, so they just do their own thing really. Our youth minister from church called and got them to go up to the church building an basicly babysit his kids. If it is a snow day they usually play out in the snow, since it is a somewhat rare occurance around here.
