Who would your new doctor who have been?

If you could choose any actor/actress to play doctor who, who would it be and why?
Is there a certain actor who could give a strong visual effect, or one that could manipulate the script best.
Just who would it have been, and why would you hire that person. If you believe that could have a great companion, explain that person too!!

If I am a film producer, I will instruct my film director to choose for Tom Hanks to be an actor as a doctor in my film. Tom Hanks has had proven his cool acting in "Castaway" in 2000, and about visual effect it doesn't a big problem as it can be technologically done. For a heroin, I'll let my film director to choose and as a way of my respect in sharing common interest, I give one and he select one.
