So when I rate a discussion am I saying whether I like what is being said or not? for example, i read about someone who's cat died. Do I rate that + or -. I'm a little confused. Help! :?)

I usually rate positively unless the poster is abusive. I appreciate all responses even if they don't agree with me because the whole point is to discuss things and learn from them. Everyone will not share your opinion or agree but it doesn't make it negative.

Hi. + is good and should be used most of the time, - is bad and should not be used often.only use the - if someone is being hateful is the way i do it.! is for spam that when someone is trying to sell you something and can get them kick off "my lot" hope that helps

I am sorry i am not sure.my lot probably will not tell us.like the formal for the pay they say that it a complicated formal that uses rating ,number of post and length of post.if they tell us there formal somebody will figure out how to take advantage of it.I send my bestest wishes to you and yours

Hello bamiofar! We are given the opportunity to rate someone. However, it doesn't mean that we have to abuse it. It doesn't mean that you don't agree with someone, you have to rate him/her negative. You can go to FAQ if you want to know further.
