House passes economic stimulus, prodded by Obama today!

I didn't see anything about "the people" getting a check like we did last summer but I noticed that a lot of money is going to be going to the states that are in trouble.
Do you think we will see anything from this economic stimulus? I got $300 last year because I'm on disability and only worked part time. What about you?

THing is... how far will that little bit go? I mean, people are unemployed, behind on bills... the first thing they will do is pay rent, catch up on a payment or buy food... that much (and over the course of a couple months...it isn't a lum sum check) just isn't enough for anyone to buy anything that will help the economy. Granted, I'll take it too, but if they are looking for it to help the economy, they had better think again.
They need to give more to those that will spend it to buy product instead of giving it to those that cause us to be in this delima. Lot of that just does to banks to buy their bad debts - the bad debts just change ownership - that money doesn't go back into circulation to buy product, not bail banks and companies out of their bad decisions.
