how sympathetic is your partner when you suffer period cramps?

Does he make you a hot water bottle and reach for your painkillers to give them to you or does he generally stay well away. I have suffered terrible pain and although I want to be left alone to deal with it some support and understanding is really important when you are feeling so horrible.

Well yeah I completely understand, its like you don't want to tolerate any bs from anyone, yet at the same time you want your special someone to acknowledge you and have a little sympathy or empathy. As for me I love how my boyfriend knows exactly how to address it, he'll rub my belly, which at times does help. Yet he knows when I've had enough and I need to just sleep. So I guess if your special someone doesn't give you the "cramp support" you need, you should just speak up, they do need hints sometimes.
