Happy New Year floridachick. The last time I flew a kite was last year at a barbeque. My son brought his kite and I helped him fly it :) was fun!

I think it's been atleast 20 years since I flew a kite. Someone gave me one as a child, and i remember flying it at Dad's cottage when I was really really little.

Oh it's been a long long long long long long time!!! Hehehe... I can't believe I didn't have time to fly a kite anymore. It just makes me feel so old now because I can't really remember the last time I flew a kite! Arrrgghh... Anyhow, I could recall how I loved flying kites. We'd do that almost every summer with my dad, brothers and uncles. We'd go to the park or to the beach to do that and it was fun! What's more fun if making the kite, we didn't have money before to buy those read-made kites, so we'd make it ourselves under the supervision of my uncles. Oh it was fun! Thanks for reminding me once again, perhaps I'm going to teach my little nephew how to make one (if I can remember how) and fly one too (if I could remember that too). hahahaa... Have a great day ahead!!!

I've never successfully flown a kite. When I was a kid we'd get kites and go out, but I was never able to get mine to stay in the air. The last time I ever attempted to fly a kit was probably when I was about 7 years old. But after reading this discussion, I really want to go out and buy a kite and try to fly it!
