Why are men faster to give compliments to a woman? Are they more appreciative?

I was just wondering why none of my girlfriends gave me a compliment when I have already lost more than 20 lbs? I don't really feel bad, but deep inside me I was waiting for someone to tell me what a good job I have done! lols! I only heard a praise from a guy friend. Are men more appreciative? I don't think my girlfriends haven't noticed since 20 lbs is a big thing right? But every time I gain weight they are so quick to comment while male friends don't really give a damn (except for my father who is a health buff)... Do you think I am such an attention addict? lols!

I too wonder why girls cant give compliments when due. I am definitely not one of them. I have an artistic nature and beauty of any kind thrills my heart. When I see somebody looking good or having lost weight, Im the first one to comment and admire. Forget them dear. I congratulate you on your losing weight, for 20 lbs is not small. You must b e looking swell. Keep it up.

Thanks Ketty! I am also like you. When I see somebody looking good I am quick to admire! maybe it really is our artistic nature. :D
