I used to think that the discussions that make it into the mylot digest were those with the highest number of responses for the day.
Apparently this is not so as there are some discussions I found a bit wackey that thankfully did not make it into the digest. It means therefore the discussions listed are chosen based on quality as well as the number of responses it reels in.
(Could be that I am wrong but I doubt it so....)
Whew... Thank goodness for that.
Do you pay attention to the top discussions listed in your mylot digest?

Hi alan. The top discussions in our digest are based on our area of interest. That would mean that we do not all get the same top discussions.
As I mentioned in the post I have come to the conclusion that the selection of these are done based on both quality and the number of responses.
I do not know the nature of the selection process for sure but I hope someone who does will be able to fill you in.

I pay a little attention to it. If it works that way it would be good or it would seem to encourage geed discussion

I sometimes respond to the discussions that appear in the digest unless of course I have already responded before I receive it.
I feel that rather than the number of responses it has something to with the number of hits. If a discussion generates interest, even though it may have few responses it seems to appear there.
I could be wrong of course - just am idea
