Most of these B-grade movies are made for the silver screen. AND most of them are crap! I wonder why they even get made into a movie int he first place?!? Just the other day, one of those lousy B-Grade movie was being shown on TV. On a holiday too! Before the half hour mark, I am already bored with the show! Frigging waste of time to even turn on the TV to watch it. Yet these shows are being made into movies for the small screen. They usually have some unknown actor who play their roles with dead panned expressions on their faces. And they tend to exaggerate their roles. On top of that, they have very lousy story lines. And crappy film effects to boot! I am so glad they only made these movies for the small screen. And not all of them make it to the living room either! With such lousy quality in both movie and story lines, why do people even bother to make them into movies in the first place?

Which movie are u talking about?? hehe ^_^ Well, some of the movies are made because they are small timers, and they just wanna break into the big screen.. BUt too bad they dun have the money and manpower to do so, thus they can only be a B grade movie.. haha =D BUt there are some movies that boost of the best actors, but with a lousy plot too.. However, it's also a B grade movie, as it's directed by those triads in HOngkong.. Do u know that?? hehe ^_^

Really? Triads in hong kong are directing movies? And they are using famous actors to do that? What are some of the titles you came across that are like that?

Yup.. And those actors are actually forced to do so.. Some actors include Andy lau too.. I guess they have no choice even though it will hurt their career, as safety comes above everything.. I dunno which are the movies, but i also read in the newpaper some time ago.. hehe

Well, I have yet to come across articles like that. Do post the links or the source here if you ever come across them again. It will be an interesting read.

Aye... Currently.. there are 2 local movies which I qualify as C-grade movies and yet they still make it to the silver screen. Both are about marriage (I think). I hardly watch TV. If there's ever a film or drama I want to see, I either watch it online or rent/buy it. I prefer dictating what I watch to letting the M company decide what I should watch. Nowadays, my parents also think likewise. They are either watching taiwanese variety shows on cable or watch their Hong Kong drama on dvd. Answering your question, different people have different taste. You may not enjoy but they may be some other who think it's enjoyable. The movie makers probably think what they are doing is great. Some movies are meant not to have a story line too (I guess). I guess that's the reason why some movies like 'Scary Movie' are made. By the way, what show are you talking about? I shall blacklist it too.

Happy new year Poohgal! Long time no see! Well, some b-grade movies like Hot-shots and Scary movies, at least the slap stick can make me laugh! Some of these b-grade movies ought to go straight to the trash! No wonder some one came up with the popcorn awards for the lousiest movies ever made. The best part of it is, some of the actors that receive these awards, are so proud of it too. Sheez~~~! It is like they are purposely making crappy movies to get into the golden popcorn award!

ha ha ha ha ha... your brother love these cheesy movies? Well, some of these movies are pure crap! A lousy script with a lousy cast is what infuriates me. The worst part of it is, they get shown on prime time TV!

I wonder what movie it was that you saw, and what exactly is b grade to you? Me, I tend to enjoy B movies, because I find them funny. Movies are mostly made to be entertaining, take your mind off of things. They're not made to be a life changing experience. Even though I have seen one or two movies that made me think twice. But even by today's standards they maybe considered B grade. Anyways, I love the cheesiness of b movies, and if you don't like what you see on the flat screen, turn the station.

Kung Pow - A lousy B-grade movie in my opinion!
Well, the recent one I watched was Kung Pow. It was so boring. And the cheesiness is just so distasteful!
