...the Last Leaf...

I read a story once by O. Henry..It was about a girl who was very sick, the doctor told her that she had only days to live. She was bedridden and when her friend visited her she kept watching the ivy growing outside her window and told him that when the last leaf fall, that's the time that she'll die. .It was winter and all the leaves fall except that one last leaf. It kept clinging in the wall until she gained back her health. When she was well enough to visit her friend, she found out that he died of pneumonia because of exposure to the cold outside while painting the leaf on the wall outside her window.... I don't know why, I've read a lot of stories since pre-school but this story really leaves a mark on me. It has a twist in the end that speaks of reality that we should expect the unexpected.I just want to share this with you guys...What can you say about it?You can share some of your experiences...thanks!
