Do you or did you exercise while pregnant?

Yea, doctor adviced me that is good to exercise during pregnancy to ease the labor pains and to gain back my original body after pregnancy and its also health. what is the best exercise for a 3 month pregnancy and above? Am not a good swimmer but I am planing to spend time in the waters. How regular should I exercise? even fathers can give advice on what they see partners do. Thanks for taking time to read and respond.

I don't even exercise when I'm NOT pregnant ... hahaha! Seriously, if I had my time over I'd definitely be doing pelvic floor exercises. I've had four children, and I'm sure it would have benefited me greatly - but at the time I couldn't be bothered. Swimming is excellent, as your body is supported - but look after your pelvic floor, and have a happy pregnancy!

I wish I could say yes but I was so sick I couldnt do much. I gained 87 pounds. My daughter was only 2pounds 9 ounces. I do know that the doctor suggests that if you exercise already it is okay to continue. If you dont they dont recommend that you do anything difficult. Walking is the best exercise. Good luck dl

Hi Denise, how have you been dear? have really missed you. I am sorry you were that sick.......I have stopped praying for morning sickness and am counting myself lucky. Your baby was small but thank God she was healthy. I am praying mine comes out alright.

Hi Kwenge,
So, how’s life and the baby? Yes, exercising during pregnancy has many benefits but I did not do it mainly coz I was scared and am a bit lazy too! don’t know about easing labour pains coz I preferred the C-section (I chickened out) and regarding post-pregnancy fat, I’m still carrying it…so let me know your condition then I’ll believe that yes, those layers of blubber can indeed by lost by us ordinary women
I’m sure your obstetrician can guide you best as to which exercises you can do during these months.

Certain excercise has to be avoided during pregnancy especially if it involves the abdominal muscles. The best excercise while pregnant is swimming and walking. I cant swim so I found walking very good, and it helps with having a fast labour too. :-)

Yes it is good to exercise during pregnancy.swimming is really good.walking and yoga exercises are also recommended
