That's a case to case basis, depends on how the person lives his life.

well.. it really depends on the beholder as they said..!! if you choose to be happy then do things that can make you happy.. if you dont like to happy then do the things that makes you unhappy also... and sometimes we do things in our life that we think we are happy but in the end, were not.. so life is really like that, intelligence is out of it i think.. but most of the intelligent people are really not happy with their lives.

A person who is emotionally unintelligent is the only person who is unhappy.Intelligence now includes emotional intelligence itself.A person having a good memory good brains is intelligent but if he lacks emotional intelligence, he is partially intelligent. So a person who is completely intelligent cannot be unhappy.

In some ways yes and in some ways no. I think that we're more unhappy because we analyze the state of the world more than the average, unintelligent person. However, we're also less unhappy because we're capable of figuring out ways to fix our problems. They say ignorance is bliss and that may be true. However, ignorance have never solved anything. In fact, it usually makes things worse.

Whether a person is happy depends on what he or she thinks .In another word ,it depends on his or her attitude towards what he or she gets and loses.Well,Einstein can be treated as an intelligent person ,but can you say he was unhappy? So if a person wants to be happy ,he or she should hold natural attitude towards what he or she has got and lost.

Well i can't say all intelligent people are unhappy but i do think some of them are. These are the people who are hard to please and pretty much harder to impress. They hardly enjoy simple things which may be stupid but fun. Let's say for example a dumb joke, they may not find it enjoyable because it may not be up to the level of their knowledge and they may overlook the logic behind that joke.

This hit me hard cos I can never truly understand a joke. When everyone are laughing their hearts out hearing a joke I am just blinking my eyes wondering why these people are laughing when I don't feel the humour in it. It needs someone to explain to me before I can get the joke. You think I am a nerd or stupid for not understanding a joke?

There is some grain of truth to your saying as most often people who are learned are very much on their own and is a bit anti social which makes them unhappy and is not having fun with friends. They have limited friends and are always a loner which result in them not sharing in their life problems. They look unhappy always.

they tend to be unhappy because they sets standards ... if they cant reach the standards they set, they keep on working on it.. it seems that they are not contented of what they have.!they keep on searching things that can fulfill their wants in life, not the need!

Happiness cannot be measured or defined. For some intelligent people, being happy may have an entirely different dimension than what we think. Those intelligent people who tries to be happy will be more happy than the average man if we go by the presumption that intelligent people can find out better solutions to problems. But if the intelligent person doesn't care about being happy then he will be unhappy all the time, since we and not somebody else decide whether to be happy or not. The other interesting thing is that not all people whom we think of as intelligent are not that intelligent and those we think of as an average can be intelligent. Having discovered something is not clearly a sign of intelligence. Some of them might have worked hard, and maybe beyond their potential that they discover something, but they are not happy.

I don't completely agree with this. It's more of a generalization, I think. Being intelligent does not automatically mean that you are going to be unhappy. It completely depends on the person's view and outlook on life and his personality. And being happy or unhappy is relative. One's unhappiness can be viewed as someone's challenge that can be overcome, which when happens, makes that person happy in the long run. :)
