Does anyone know about legitimate, freelancing sites online,that r free to join?

I have come across many freelancing sites, like for data entry, or other assignments, but they usually ask for investment.
Do you know about any freelance sites, which allow free working?
I know about "Getafreelancer.com", but I didn't quite understood how it works!
Any suggestions???

Hello jakes9! I know of a few freelancing sites that may be of interest to you. As far as I can tell, they don't require any sort of investment. However, I don't have any personal experience with these sites (I prefer my home business for earning money online), but have heard of others using these. They are:
