Dear friends day in & day out we receive some mails saying that we have won lotteries or something like that worth some millions of dollars or in some case pounds.I came to know that some people have fallen prey to these fraudsters by losing a lot of money. Can they be punished?

Well i was wondering the same thing. This is all fraud and is going on alot nowadays. I am hearing from so many people that they are getting these types of emails. I get atleast 1 email like the one you mentioned in a month. There is no one to look after them but there should be laws against these fraudsters. They cant have that money so easily. I hope someone will take actions against them. Have a nice day!

There are some legal implications at times... I have received such messages too, but although they have titles like "YOU WON", they have small letters somewhere saying something like "this could happen if you join our website etc." Therefore, they can claim that you didn't read everything and so it was your fault that you lost money..

I get at least 3 of these a day! It's ridiculous. Do people actually think that they've won something? It's obvious it's bogus. I usually hit not safe in the email and delete. These people should just get real!

I've gotten those too, and more of these recently it seems. I know in the US these emails are considered criminal, and people can even make money off of the senders. I'm not sure how it's handled in India, however. If you're unable to do anything constructive about these emails, just delete them, and advise your friends to do the same.
