All bad, and on myself, and wouldn't do to tell it.

For the most part there is no harm in having a few drinks with your friends on occasion. And I don't believe there is a problem with getting drunk as long as you don't have to drive and you know your own limitations. That being said I wanted to relate what happened to me on new years eve. I decided that I would let myself get a little drunk that night. My daughter was having some friends over and we were going to play spades and drink and issue in the new year safe at home away from the crazies. Now it had been a long time since I had drank anything because I have been on medications and would not drink while I was taking drugs. It had been several months since I had any of my medications however so I figured why not have a few drinks. It might even make me feel better. Now I have always been a very picky drinker. There are not too many things I like the taste of. Mostly I stick with sloe gin and orange juice. Usually I get a good buzz on with about a third of a pint of sloe gin, so my daughter bought me a pint. As the night wore on I made myself drink after drink and before I knew it the whole pint was gone. I had drank it all and didn't even get a buzz. Boy was I disappointed. Have you ever deliberately tried to get drunk and failed?

Nah, I like to be in control of my body. I think I've been drunk once and that was enough.

I have never been quite drunk enough to be out of control or to lose my memory of what I did. I have been drunk enough to pretend all of that though. I also don't like to be out of control.

Back in the day I could really drink them down and still walk. Today however as I matured and got out of that self destruction party life I can not do that! Back in the day I had problems getting drunk because I drank often. Today I have no problem getting drunk because I hardly drink. I still like to drink but I don't do it often. I have a child now and don't want him to think that is what he should do. I have cleaned up my act once and for all!

That's why I thought I would get a good buzz. I hadn't had anything to drink in so many years. But nothing. And I so hate to waste money.

It does stink to have high hopes and then get nothing. It is also a terrible waste of money as you said. Next time you may need to buy a lil more and shhh if you only need a bottle and a half that is one bottle less you need to get your buzz the next go around LOL.

Having a CDL, I have to be very careful if I drink anything with the rules I'm really restricted from doing any drinking... I have to respect my license or I don't work even though there is very little work to do, I still need to get paid and this economic situation will not last for long... It is all politics...
