Need dentist advice

I seem to be in quite a predicament...I have cavities, though I'm not sure how many. I'm guessing 7 or 8 on all sides, top and bottom of my mouth. I have a hole through one tooth. I've called every dentist in my phone book, and none will see me without cash up front. They've told me to apply for credit for dental and doctor visits, but I don't qualify for those. None are willing to accept monthly payments from me. I've become very depressed about this, because as much as I hate the dentist, I just wanna go get this taken care of. I'm terrified this is going to get infected and I know that's really dangerous. I just don't have the money to go, and I don't know what to do. I've applied for medicaid, and if I'm qualified it should take about 6 weeks. Don't think this can wait that long. Any helpful advice would be wonderful!

Yes, I would suggest calling a dental school in your area. They often provide services at a much cheaper rate. I know it might be scary getting the work done by a student, but they are under constant supervision. Maybe you can do the most urgent teeth first and wait until the Medicaid comes through to have the rest done. I hope this is helpful to you!

There aren't any dental schools in my area. They're all quite a ways away. Thanks for the reply though.
