Your best friend.

Every once in a great while, some of us are lucky enough to have the love and affections for another person, be it the same gender or not, and call them your "best friend". They are there for you through thick and thin. They are there for you with arms wide opened and an opinion to boot. You want advice that's sugar coated? You don't go to them for it. These friends of yours are often, stronger than blood to you. How long have you and your friend been that way?

I have 2 people I call my best friend. One female and one male. The female, Carrie, I've known for 20 years and we have truly been through hell and back together. The male, Rob, I've known for almost 15 years and he, too I've been through hell and back with. We're always there for each other, no matter what. I'd love for the two of them to meet, but sadly there's never been an opportunity.
