ok maybe im just reading this wrong or taking it wrong but am i the only one thinking its kind of ODD that the kids father and grandmother got out of the house fire ok and the two handicapped kids were left behind in the house fire?? the neighbor had come home and saw the fire so he was able to save one of the kids but the other one died.. i would think if it was my kids i would be dying in there with them trying to SAVE THEM! and since they were handicapped you would think they would make more of an effort since they would need help so its not like luck might help and they would be able to escape on their own!!
but then again the article is vague but still.. something doesnt sound right about this story!! or am i being overly suspicious? what would you think when reading this??

i think that unless you were in the blaze iself, you really cant make a judgement call on how the parents reacted. theres no way to know if they had their kids right there and just left them to die.. or if the fire was in such a position that they couldnt get to them at all.. and were hoping rescue workers that are trained for such things would be able to do the job. the father and grandmother got out.. maybe the grandmother was the easiest to get to at the time, so he got her out first.. and then couldnt get back into the house. ya never really know..

well the reason im suspicious is that there have been several fires here (in my state) where the parents set the fire on purpose and left their kids behind on purpose so that they would die and then they could collect the insurance money.. if it hadnt happened several times in the last year or two then it would havent crossed my mind..

Been in a fire (well two but one was a car) and the first thing out were the kids. I have four at home. The two smallest are special needs. There is no way in the world they wouldn't have been left behind if I was still able.
And if a neighbor could get in why couldn't dad? Injures maybe. I'd like to hope.
But I wouldn't have left without my kids.

oh my god,the kids' father and grandmother are so affectless,I could forgive the frandmother because she is too old to help his grandchilren when the fire occured, but how come the father just runed out for his own life?what he was he thinking about when his nabour saved one of his children?

i know its sad that a stranger/neighbor risked his life to save them and we have no clue if the father even tried!

It's really hard to tell from the article if the father or grandmother tried to save the kids. It did say that they were treated for their injuries so it doesn't appear that they ran out the door at the first sign of a fire. Since it broke out during the day they probably weren't alseep either. I would like to believe that they were trying to get the fire out and to get to the kids, which is why they were injured.
