I want to share this animated movie called "GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES" to all of you. You can watch the trailer and some parts of that movie in YouTube. It's a really sad and touching story of two Japanese siblings who are caught in the crossfire of the World War. It's told in such a way that you can sympathize with them and in the end, you'll feel that there's no need for war if this is what the outcome would be... It's not only sad, but it is a thought-provoking movie too. How about you? Can you share a sad movie with me?

You should watch one litre of tears.... oh man... i cried throughout the movie... this is actually a true story about a girl who had a disease that was not curable... this disease only comes out later in life.... when your bones start giving out... in this case she was a teenager when the disease started affecting her life... you should watch it.... and it makes you realise that never take life for granted because you never know when you'll die..

I watched this too. I think there was a J-Dorama (japanese drama) and a Japanese film, but I'm not so sure of the version I watched. I felt sad for the girl but I was proud of her for being so brave and cheerful despite the sickness she was having...

The Notebook was the saddest movie I have ever seen in my life. I started crying and just couldn't stop. My husband and the cat came to check if I was ok because I was blubbering so loudly. It was just so sad to watch this epic love story paired with the story of the woman with dementia and the man who comes to read to her everyday even though she has no idea who he is. What made it worse were the brief periods of lucidity that she had and how quickly they faded. I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone, but that kind of overwhelming and all-consuming love really got to me and made me sob hysterically. Even as the end credits rolled, I couldn't stop.

I have not heard of this film though it sounds interesting. Hard to define sad, since so many movies try to at least have some kind of positive ending. Since I tend to not cry at films, it was something of family thing. If I knew that certain movies were going to be on, I would get my mom a box of tissues and let her know when they were on, some of the favorites that even after seeing them over and over again for years would still make various members of the family cry are I Want to Live and Backstreet with Susan Hayward and also Imatation of Life and Madame X with Lana Turner both movies that can tear your heart out and make you cry. Yet I didn't there was an actress a child actress in two movies, and she made me cry when I watched each of them, Broken Promise and Ophan Train with Melissa Michaelsen So for me the saddest would have to be Broken Promise, since it was based on a true story and it let me know about what kids went through when they were put in the system through foster care or to be adopted etc. It is unfortnate that she hadn't been given more of a chance to become an adult actress she was one of the best I had ever seen. But the way the foster care system is today is not picnic, and yet it was far worse for the characters in this story, some of the laws that protect children and siblings are in place because of this family in the story, and knowing that people are still treating their children like this and that the system is that claims to protect them is also, well knowing children have been emotionally and mentally suffering for years and struggling that is really sad.

I have watched several sad movies which I find very sad, but I don't quite recall them right now, except for the recent movie I watched which is 'Seven Pounds' by Will Smith. I find the movie very very intriguing at first and I had so many questions in the first few portions of the film, but though the end is quite heart-warming, it's totally a sad movie. It made me see how a person could think so low of himself and that he feels that he doesn't deserve to be in this world that's why he did that. It's really sad and depressing. I don't know how could anyone be inspired by such a movie. I doubt someone with the right mind would ever do such. It's totally sad. I'd suggest those people who are depressed not to watch the movie.

For me, the saddest movie I have ever seen is "The Notebook". It was a pretty happy movie until the end when you realize they are both old now and that he is reading her life with him to her to see if it will jog her memory somehow. Then he ends up dying and she is left alone without her husband who loves her so much and without her mind or her memories. I cried uncontrollably for a good hour after the movie ended. Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

Beaches. It's about 2 girls who meet. They're total opposites. One is brash, ambitious, and poor. The other is rich, quiet and introspective. They become penpals, then later room together. They fight, argue, care about each other, get mad and separate. They both get divorced, but one is pregnant. Then she also gets sick. The kind of sick that you die from. The brash, irresponsible one is there for her. She makes things happen and watches over her. It's just so touching, how through all the fighting and differences, they are there for each other. It makes me tear up, just writing about it. Friendship that lasts, no matter what. A friend that stands by you, even after a nasty fight, that will hold your hand while you're dying. I believe in friendship, even though I don't have a friend that would do that. It's such a beautiful movie.

The Notebook was a sad movie, it is terrible to think you live your life with some one and at the end you cant remember them.
