How often do you defragment your PC?

The last time I defragmented my computer was months ago, and I think that's why my work has slowed down this past couple of days. I think defragmenting will help a lot especially if you're constantly writing and reading in your hard disk, there's a tendency for your files to get lost in the clutter and make other files harder to access! Do you defragment regularly? If not, why don't you try it?

we should defragment our computer atleast once in a month but due to laziness i can't do it regularly ,i did it 6 months back.

Haha, me too. I got lazy and careless, I think I defragmented mine 3 or 4 months ago. I'm not sure. My computer is so slow now and I think it's time for me to defragment it again. Thank you for the response.

I defrag mine every other week. If I feel like there's a lot of lag from the operations I perform regularly, then I do it more often.

to be honest i have only done it once on this computer i had three other computer before that i have never done it, no even on my laptop aswel, but i did it on this computer and i think it did kind of improve. i take quite long tho so i probable wouldnt do it for another year or so.

My computer gets defragmented once in 2 months, I don't do it myself, my boyfriend does it. I find my computer faster after defragming, so it really helps.

Well professionals say the people should defragment their pc's like once in a month or twice to keep up your performance but I defragment my pc when I see the performance getting low only XD

I tend to do my defragmenting one or twice a month on both of my computers. If i do some downloading and lots of editing and stuff of photos i do it a buit earlier than i normally would.

Ye am not doing it I am getting laziness it is better to prefer do fragment which increases the life of the hard disk

I defragment my computer probably 1 time every 2 months not a lot because I usually just go on the Internet not really using word a lot because are teacher uses stuff like moodle and criterion.
