I wonder if anyone of you had seen the show the Perfect Storm, and witness those awesome 50ft waves on the screen. In case you think that is just a show or some fiction, well look no further as this article will certainly blow your mind here.
This time round it hit a luxury cruise and turned out nightmares for the holiday makers on board with 2 of them being injured to the extent of requiring an air medical evacuation to the hospital.
I am just surprised how the captain could not have avoided this incident, I am sure that the modern fleet nowadays are simply adequately equipped to avoid such an accident from happening. Negligence or some mere ignorance?
I leave it to you here.

The Perfect Storm is actually a movie based on very real events...its not fiction for those that thought it was...that really did happen...

I'm a fan of Sebastian Jungers writing. Loved the book. The movie was good, but still not as good as the book for me.

I'd say none of the choices. Nature is unpredictable. No matter how advanced your vehicle is when you are caught off guard, there's nothing that can be done. I'd say in this case, the ship seemed to have used some of it's advance facilities and equipment due to the minimal damage.
