Why are you on Facebook?

South Africa

Here in South Africa, Facebook receives a lot of negative publicity especially about pedophiles and teenagers posting photo's of themselves when drunk etc. I am a Facebook (addict) and spend a lot of time their but I do it for business and have received a lot of work from there. I have met up with old friends and made some new ones. What do you find nice/not so nice about Facebook?

Hello fellow addict! Admiting it is the first step to recovery!!! I LOVE facebook, I currently have it open at the same time as mylot and keep popping back to check it. I love that I can catch up with old friends, keep in touch with current ones and get help and advice even from it! I couldn't fond a photographer for my wedding, updated my status that I was looking for one - and was recomended the most fabulos person, by some one I knew years ago and would never have in a million years text or rang and asked their advice. I've got in touch with family members I haven't see for years, and use it to organise events and everything. And I love seeing people photo updates! So as you can tell I am pro Fabcebook! I find the people who have issues with FB are those who don't use it!

I'm not. I use to be, I was so addicted to it. Then eventually I felt too old for it. I mainly used it to stay in contacted with family and old friends. But the old friends didn't talk to me as much anymore, so I got rid of it.
