In a day, atleast for 4-5 hours I keep on typing continously. Now I feel pain in my fingers, palm and sometime they are not cooperating. I type wrong words... Imagine I typed "SH*T UP" instead of "SHUT UP" to my friend :( How you guys are managing this pain?

Numbness is a common side effect when stay long hours do typing at computer's keyboard. To manage and control it, what I did, every one hour I butts off from my computer chair, left my computer unattended and perform some walking. Such as, go to the kitchen and prepare my hot ginger-coffee-drink and after that lace some balsam(Canada Balsam) while doing light massage to my fingers and top-palm-side. Numbness happened due to the poor blood circulation on that particular point couple up with rigorous skin pressure on while doing typing. That is why, although am using laptop but I used the extension USB-DELL keyboard. So far and in my opinion anyway, through my experience only DELL computer keyboard does help much to reduce my skin-pressure-point. Very soft and effective.

hi there, The worst possible thing you could do is continue on with your typing as it could lead to further damage such as carpal tunnel syndrom. Give your fingers a rest away from the computer and if they're really bothering you, you could try rubbing some kind of fast absorbing pain relief rub into the area's that are afflicted with pain. ~proudnana~

I noticed that I used to type "hard" whenever I used the computer. As soon as I lightened up on the keystrokes, I began experiencing less and less pain. Now, I hardly experience any at all.
