It's nice of you to put up a discussion just to let others speak their minds.
I have to say, that listening is not always easy. It helps if you try to put yourself in the other person's position. I hate it when I go to someone with an issue, and al the time I'm talking I can tell they are just thinking of the nextt hing they want to say. If anyone has a problem with communication, take this advice. Shut up and listen! Don't just hear the words coming out of the other person's mouth. Actually listen to them, think about the person's feelings, experiences, and the situation.
Did you know that the average person can speak at about 200 words per minute, but can listen to well over 600 words per minute? The person listening should use that extra ability to think and apply what is being said, they should also be reading body language and looking for other non-verbal signals being sent by the speaker.
Just my two cents :)
