I think there really is a virus inside your laptop. You really need a good anti virus software and a firewall for added security.Have you tried formatting your disk drives?

I agree with everyone else. Sounds like you might have a Virus somewhere or something you have downloaded onto your Computer that caused it to Freeze and Crash like this. Also you do need to remember especially if you are one who does a lot of surfing and have a Good AntiVirus installed to also do a disk cleanup and defragment of your computer as well. I know if you do not you end up getting little fragments as the others have mentioned that do slow down your Computer and your internet, and there is nothing you can do except for clean up your Computer and go from there. Hope you get these problems solved, and wishing you the Best.

Over time you will find that your computer starts to slow down. There are certain things that you can do to increase your computer's performance. Most importantly, you should make sure that your computer is always up to date and that it is set to download and install updates on a regular basis. Also, do you have an antivirus product on your system? If so, what antivirus product do you use? It also sounds like your computer froze, there could be a number of reasons for this. This could be heat related or there could be a virus on your system. There are windows utilities that I use on a regular basis like Disk Defragmenter and Disk Cleanup, do you use these? I also use Internet Options in order to get rid of all the browsing history and cookies. If you don't get rid of the temporary Internet files then these tend to build up and you will find things running a lot more slowly. Anyway, there's just so much information here but the best thing to do is to start from the beginning. I maintain my own system which involves problem solving if any problems arise. With you as the user important basic questions have to be asked like what operating system are you using? What do you use your computer for? Do you visit lots of different sites involving research? Chances are you could have picked up some kind of virus from a site. Anyway, if you would like me to offer you some assistance then I will gladly do this. I will work with you on a one to one basis if you private message me. Good luck. Andrew
