everyday we hear of the economic recession that has engulfed the major economies all around the globe. We hear of layoffs these days comparable to the great depression. I believe we are from different countries in here. why not let us know the current economic scenario in your country - how many layoffs in last 1 month...are the stock market down...what is the general mood among people...I am from india and here the stock markets are real weak, there is panic - mainly among freshers, many mncs have started layoffs..economists believe that the current scenario will prevail whole of 2009..now ITS YOUR TURN...tell us about your country!!

I'm in the US, so I think it's clear where our country is at. We are truly on the brink of dissaster...it's scary. More specificly, I'm in Michigan, we not only have the highest unemployment rate in the country, but this month we broke the record. We now have the highest unemploment rate ever recorded...and just so happens that my fiance is one of them.

ya..things are scary..i work in an US based mnc here in india and although the indian business operations are doing good, the co.has started layoffs in india also as a balancing act to cover up its losses in other parts of the globe..GOD save us all..
