Silly misconceptions you had as a child

1. Algebra is a foreign language.
2. You'll die if you swallow chewing gum.
3. Lesbian means black woman.
4. Racism is an eye disorder. Actually, there's a story behind this one. There was this "Let's fight racism" poster in the hallway of my elementary school, and it featured a Black, White, and Asian child in black and white. Being the kindergartner that I was, I came to the conclusion that racism must be some sort of eye disease that prevented people from seeing color. I mean, they also had these "Let's fight cancer!" posters tacked onto the walls, especially around the time of the Terry Fox Run.

1) i thought that there was only one country in the world and everyone just happened to live on different parts of the country.
2) i thought that there were tiny ppl in the tv. but i always wondered how they got in the tv. i thought maybe they went there when we were sleeping. lol

I believed in the TV thing too! I used to wonder about where they went and what did they did when the TV was turned off.
