Which is the best bang for your buck when it comes to diapers? We used to use Huggies Supreme, only. My 17 month old daughter got rashes from all the other but as she's gotten older we've been trying different diapers on her.. and so far thankfully she's not had any rashes. We have tried the Parents Choice diapers from wal-mart but they seem to be too small in the size she wore in Huggies but the next size up is like wrapping it around her twice... Which causes leaks and soiled clothes. What brands have you tried and which do you recommend?

It depends on what we have coupons for and what is on sale. We will use a variety of different diapers depending on what is on sale when we go to the store. Of course there are generic brands that one can always buy cheaper but you get what you pay for. With the cheap brands you get more leaks and more dirty clothes and in the end they aren't really saving you anything because you use more and have to wash more clothes.

Thanks for responding. We do the coupon thing as well. This was the first time we've tried the parents choice brand, was just comparing the price of 5.97 for 40 diapers to the 13.97 we've been paying for 35 diapers, we thought we'd give it a shot. Not to satisfied, though.

I always used Parent's Choice diapers. I tried Huggies and Pampers, but they gave me son rashes because he inherited my fair, sensitive skin.

Thanks for taking the time and responding. Right now, We are using a local store brand called Freds. So far they aren't bad, not the greatest in the world, and definately don't compare to the name brands we've used but they are cheaper, and haven't brought on any rashes.

I used to be a die hard pampers fan but switched to luvs. They are just like pampers and were cheaper. Huggies always seemed small for my boys as did the parents choice ones. Go to the online sites of the diaper companies and you can print off coupons as well. Anything and everything helps these days to save a little bit.

Thanks for responding. We've been cutting coupons, and i've been signed up since my son was born with the online coupon sites so everything i recieve from them we use. Luvs was the first cheaper diapers we used on her after she was born and the rashes started, so we've yet to try them again.... maybe the next pack we buy. Thanks again.

We have three kids and typically always went with Pampers because our our own trial and error....but with our youngest we've gotten, well cheap and have done some of our own experimenting with the "budget" brands and the store brands. We have finally come to the conclusion that the Costco store brand, Kirkland. They fit her better and seem to move with her, which is a good thing because she's very active. They will also hold a ton, which is good for me cause I hate having to deal with leaks and messy pants. Costco does also have coupon booklets that they distribute to cardmembers and they have a cash back program if you have the executive membership (which is only fifty dollars more than a regular membership)

Thanks for posting. A friend of ours gave us about 10 of those that we tried, but with her... She's got fat legs (most people dont think so) and a small waist, and in the size that was given to us, they were too small in the legs and way to big in the waist, so we was wrapping her up pretty much. ha ha She needs a size 3, but the Parents choice brand size 3 is like a 2, and her bottom was hanging out of them as she had a diaper thong on... wasn't a pretty site when she poo poo'd...
