Cash for gold.. Is it really worth it?

Ok i have ordered the little packet from cash for gold and i have seen the commercials but it looks to me like in order to get a big cash refund you have to send in ALOT of gold.
I only have maybe 3 pieces of gold like a small necklace, a charm and a ring but if im only gonna get a few bucks its not even worth it. Has anyone done it and if so how did it work for you? did you send in a few pieces did you send in alot of stuff? is it worth sending in 3 pieces?

Your welcome. I just dont want to send in 3 pieces if im only gonna get a check for like 10 dollars
