when you saw a thriller of a movie what attract you most to watch that movie? is it the actors or the plot? some times people watch movies because the role played by their favorite artist and they always said that they're great... it's promising, it's fantastic... etc. etc.. although it has a horrendous plot still for them, it's amazing... some times... though the movie have a great sense of topic it didn't recognize by the people if an only if they didn't know the actors... how cruel isn't?

its the story, i consider as the back bone of a movie.Of course it should be handled by a competent director. If the said conditions are there I'll not bother who the actors are .

It can go either way for me. There have been movies that I've heard or read about or seen the previews for that look really good and I decide I "have" to see them even if I've never heard of any of the actors. On the other hand, there have been movies that have gotten poor reviews and maybe wouldn't have caught my attention if it hadn't been for one or more of my favorite actors being in them and I still want to see them. Probably most of us have seen movies starring someone we really like that wouldn't have been good at all if it weren't for the stars. However, it's been proven time and time again that no matter how big a star someone is they can still make movies that flop. When "Titanic" came out there weren't any "big names" in it at the time although Leonardo DeCaprio and Kate Winslet are now among the biggest names in the business. The story pulled the audience in by the millions and made them into stars.

I always go for the story. If I see a thriller that would interests me, I’ll pay for it on the big screen. I have several favorites in the Hollywood but some of their movies are not that good. There’s only one artist that always interests me every time she has a movie – Drew Barrymore. She’s always been my favorite.

hmm if you're talking about a thriller movie then for me it has gotta be the actors staring in that film. haha. coz i'm not much of a thriller fan so one of the things that would make me want to watch the movie is the actors and actresses in it.

Its always the story for me whether it has big names or any newcomer.Bollywood is witness of many movies which introduced many newcomers with great stories and they become blockbusters like "Kaho Na pyar Hai","Jane tu ya Jane Na".In both movies actors and actress are newcomers but now Hritik,Imran,Jenelia are superstars because of their casting in movies having great stories and there are many movies which has big names but are flop like "chandni Chok to china","eklavya","Bhoothnath"
in Hollywood also we should not forget about "Titanic" at the time of the release nobody knows about "De-Caprico" and "Kate winslet" but the story was all time superhit and appreciated worldwide and now both are International superstars
So go for plot or story in the movie not the actors
It is like the proverb in hindi -"oochi dukan fike pakwan"

Hi,
U r right. After a hit film, an actor steals the SHOW.
The writer(creator)goes behind the curtain,as with any other technician.
thus,I personally want to give all equal credit.Writer, actor & tecnicians.

The plot is very important. But people always looks for their favourite star's movies. But this is bad.Yes I too like some hero's but I will criticise them if their films are not worth watching.I have seen many film though the story is good, though getting flop because of absence of stars..
So people should learn to appriciate the story as it is a greatest creativity

I usually look forward of knowing the story of the movie than knowing who are the actors. There are sometimes people judge the actors without watching the movie first. They will then know that the story of the movie is a very good one worth to watch many times. It's not all about actors when u think of watching movies, we also have to consider of the things, morals and knowledge we get from the movie.
