We are now one month into 2009, what has changed for you since the first of the year? This is a year when I feel it's going to be important to keep tract of each month and the changes that happen. Your thoughts on this?

It is nice that you raised this question. For me this is definitely going to be an important year.I think that I must end this year on a high and successful note.Hence I would be taking steps and monitoring them to achieve my goals.Well if you ask if things have changed from the first of this month to now,I would say not much but then I will steadily work towards my goals and be patient to see the outcomes.

I am learning to control my financial status coz I have got debts for my credit card. It's so easy to cross the line and I tend to spend much more than before I am using a credit card. And then I get the bill and I realise how much I have spent! I can't believe this. I want to save some money to help my parents decorate their house. It's my big goal this year, heehee and also get my driver's license so that I needn't to take a train or bus when family reuinion. I can drive a car home, lol. That will really be fatastic! Also I have to keep on learning French.

A big change that has happened for me this year is finding work that I actually enjoy, rather than working on things just to earn money. It was hard to find work like that last year for some odd reason. So, I'm prety happy about that.

It's always easier to work at a job you love then one you don't. Keep it up.

I am still looking for a second job or a way to make enough money to start getting things caught up financially and start paying off my debt. Nothing much has changed for me since the first of the year, except the amount of debt I am in...it is INCREASING... I don't feel the need to worry about tracking changes from month-to-month this year, because it is going to take a LONG time for me to recover from these hard times. If I don't find more work soon, things are only going to continue to get worse...

Don't loose hope, and maybe looking back on previous months will allow you to see that things are getting better. I have been in your shoes and right now many others are there with you. At least you have one job. I do know how long it takes to get back from just a few months of loss takes years. The bright side of this is so many others are in your position that creditors should be more reasonable, even your utility providers and Landlord or mortgage holder. The main thing people do that is wrong is they don't contact their debit holders and let them know that you are in trouble and what your plan is to get back on your feet. When our country was in trouble before in 1982, I was in charge of a foreclosure department for a Bank, We tried so hard to get people to try to work with us so we could help them, but most of the time they were to scared and just left their homes instead of letting us know they were in trouble. We didn't want all those homes back, and we even had government plans to help them we just couldn't reach them in time. I lasted about 6 months and then quit in frustration. Of course things are worse now. But talking to others never hurts even if you just get the truth. Blessings

Hey pat! I don't really have any major changes that have occurred yet! At least not good ones! I have had a few not good ones! I am not seeing this year starting off going in the right direction! I am having some personal problems already! I am hoping that things will get better, but it isn't looking real good at the moment. I am concerned that this year might not be one of my better ones so I am hoping that somehow things get turned around real quickly! How about some prayers please?

Prayers you got it. Time to stop take out paper and pencil list all good things, down to being able to breath and then list bad, see if you can get just one thing to change lists. It always helps to clear one's sight and remember the power of attraction. Blessings

One of the big changes tis year has been my change in schedule...I had so much time past year but starting from December I hardly get time to break any rules..My life is moving in strict schedule and I can't complain now as that's what I had always wanted...Have a nice day!

Good question! I decided as the new year began that I was going to put me first for a change. I've been a mom for more than half my life, my kids are grown and it's time they cut me a little slack and let me semi-retire from that position in life. LOL So far, it is going well, and my health has improved!

It's too soon really to note any changes for me yet this year. For over 18 months I have been trying to move house, but can't find a buyer for mine. I picked just the wrong time to put it on the market as it is suitable for first time buyers or families needing to upgrade from just two bedrooms. And these are the people who have been finding it hard to get mortgages. However, the numbers of new mortgages issued went up in December and I won't give up hope of achieving my dream of living out my twilight years by the sea.
