What is up with excel 2008!?

So, I was trying to make a chart with error bars, and the new version of excel wouldn't let me. I mean come on! ERROR BARS. Isn't this what you use excel for!? I was able to bypass the problem by making a "stacked column" chart, adding my error values as a second category, but there is something about the error bar, isn't there? When you see it, you know exactly what it represents. Thanks Bill :(
