What do you consider as real and good music regardless of genre?

Sometimes when I listen to the radio, my friends would argue that when a song comes on, they would endlessly talk about melodies, the beat, lyrics and the artist's talent. More so the artist's talent. It's something I've wondered about, and would like have numerous opinions of any kind. What do you think it is?

I think a good song has to have a bit of everything, and its not just the song itself that makes it good, it has to be performed well. There's no point have a good tune, good lyric and bad vocals for example, you need a balance of everything.

some consider the beats from a trance , or minimal track to be intresting some say that the lyrics are those who make music sound good i think that a good voice with simbolistic and pshycological lyrics and a strange but intresting rythym makes good music for me i listen all type of musci (almoust) but from my winamp playlist that has 3000 songs i could say i really enjoy only 100 of them
