I've always found German cars to be better quality than any others, like VW and BMW. We have a BMW its an old one but it hasn't needed any work doing for years now, it just keeps going. What are your opinions about it, do you think German cars are better quality, if so why?

It all comes down to the people and their menthality. They know that hard work is the way to achieve a good quality. This is why they produce top car brands like Mercedes,Audi,Bmw,Volkswagen, they do care more than other producers about the quality of the components, and the assembly. But as I sad, what a german does,he does it good.

Because they work with passions and great materials. And when they do something, they do it right.

German cars under go a long testing process with full throtle in place which allows the manufacturer to find out the problems even during extreme conditions. Normally they have lesser number of engines but very well tested before turning on to roads...

Because they're German. They have very high quality steel (and other metals) industry, they have a very skiled production force, they take great pride in producing nearly unrivaled levels of longevity, style and efficiency. They also test all their cars in a variety of conditions and have many many years of practice behind them.
