I'm starting a blog and trying to promote it. Is this ethical? I get e mails from friends and they just forward them, some go way back, if I copy the e mail lists from those people that I don't know and send my promo to their friends would that be unethical? What your opinion? Is it like spam?

It would be spam. Unwanted, unrequested emails. You dont know them and would not normally send them an email so to me that would be spam. Good luck with your blog however.

Ya I just want to promote it so bad. I guess it is, I haven't done it but thought about it when I received a recent mail. When I forward anything I always delete the previous senders info, I know most people don't. I think it's just the right thing to do! Thanks for your input!

when I see blogs in my email I don't consider it spam, so maybe other people don't as well
