plasma or lcd?

i have been planning to buy a tv. can anyone help me which one should i buy? is it plasma or lcd? what are the advantages and disadvantages of it?

i just bought a 63 plasma tv. the only thing about them is they say they go bad in about years if you don't take good care of them. the little lights/windows in the back of the tv go bad? i don't know but i love it! i don't know too much about lcd. i know they are very nice and a lot more expensive. but they are nice. good luck with your decision.
