I will be going to the church this afternoon to have my candles blessed. Every year, I always make sure that I will have a candle blessed on this day. It so happened that it's also my birthday on this today. The candles blessed are the once which we use when we are praying and when there are natural disasters. Do you also have blessed candles at home?

this is part of the Catholic religion. The candles blessed on this day are not used for brownouts except if there is a major calamity like typhoon. These candles are supposed to give flicker or light in times of troubles or problems. Thanks for taking time to respond.

No, I do not have my candles blessed, and I don't see any Biblical reason to do such a thing.

I don't have a blessed candle but it's a beautiful concept! And on your birthday! How nice. Thanks for sharing that. I had never heard of it either.
