Well, Valentine's Day is pretty much just around the corner, seeing that it's February already. What are you planning to give your loved one this year? What have you given in the past? I'm looking for ideas, since this is my first Valentine's Day with my boyfriend and I would like to give him something special, but not costly. Thanks for reading, and happy myLotting!

My wife really likes the "Little House on the Prairie" TV series and so for Valentine's Day I'm giving her Season One of the series, the only one that she doesn't yet have. (We got them in reverse order because she liked the latter episodes better than the earlier ones.) It'll be a gift she can enjoy for years to come. Since we'll have the complete set we'll then watch it through in order. A similar gift that my wife gave me a couple of years ago was the "Back to the Future" trilogy because she knew those were among my favorite movies even though they were not her favorites. That let me know how much she loves me. So I'd suggest giving him a gift that lets him know that you know what interests him. It could be a book by his favorite author, or tickets to a sports event, or even a tool if (and only if) he loves working with tools. I hope you both have very happy Valentine's Day.

It is also our first Valentines together..We are planning to celebrate it on the 15th (also our 3rd monthsary)..We will attend mass then order pizza or anything we can eat that is affordable..Rent movies then watch in my place..We don't have enough budget to go on expensive dates..As long as we're together, it's fine.. I will give him a card (made by me)..I think someone you'll give present will appreciate it more if it is made by you and it is more special..

Yes, I'm planning to give my boyfriend something that I will make myself also. Congrats on the third month anniversary! My boyfriend and I are going on to our ninth month now, and we're probably gonna watch a movie or something too as well. Thanks for your response!

The thing most guys want is to be significant, that he is number one! it is not about purchasing things. If you know your man, you will know how to do this!

That is very true. I'm just curious as to how other people normally celebrate Valentine's with their loved ones, because this is the first time I'm going through it NOT being single lol. I have an idea of what I want to do already ^^ Thanks for your response!

My boyfriend and I dont want to spend money on eachother this year, we're both trying to save. I think I might make him a card. I wanted to put a good picture of us in a nice picture frame as well maybe. I'm not too sure. I'm not good at it. I was originally going to get him a really expensive gold watch, but he found a link to it, and told me not to get it cause it was too expensive.

Aww, the picture idea is pretty sweet. I think it's a very nice idea. And a picture frame is much cheaper than a watch, plus I think your boyfriend would appreciate a picture of the two of you more than a watch. Thanks for your response!
